Yes, I know this is out of the City and the ward but I have a kid who is one of the Irish dancers that will be performing, so meet me here and you’ll get a show! I’ll be in my kilt (yes I know that’s Scottish but ask me and I will explain how it’s Irish too) so find me and engage in some good craic (fun pub discussion if you’re unfamiliar).

It can be difficult to change, even if you’re unhappy with how things are. In Colorado, and here in ward 3, we like to think that we are above the closed mindedness we see in the rest of the country. Now in Lakewood we have to decide who we want to be as a community. Are we going to choose the type of representation that listens to the community and approaches problems with an open mind? Or do we continue to elect council members who exist in the echo chamber of their shared experience?
Let us know about your ideas, experiences, or issues in Lakewood. If you have some time to help- I’ll gladly accept any help you can offer. Thanks!
Please only donate what you are comfortable with. I am asking for a $100 limit per individual, though by no means is that much ever expected. I’m going to hold my total donations at $5000 and any money donated once I hit that limit will be returned, though that is also not expected. Any money left over after the election will be donated to Bear Creek Lake Park- NOT used in any future campaign, but this may be the least expected of the three 😆.
***Please provide me your name and address for financial reporting purposes in the notes for the transfer.***
Asking for money is by far the worst part of this for me, I know how precious money is to all of us right now. Your financial support humbles me. Thank you!
While we tried to get video of the forum unfortunately seating shifted after the introductions and this is largely audio. I think you will hear a stark contrast in the level of knowledge and vision between Ken and myself. Mr. Roybal is noticeably absent.
This was a good conversation and despite too many “I think”s in some of my answers I feel I did pretty well. Unfortunately neither of my opponents decided to engage with this interviewer.
A well written interview, though it doesn’t exactly cover everything verbatim. I take issue “championing” any one issue or interest. I think Lakewood wants representatives, not champions
I would‘ve hoped a city publication like this would have allowed some more in depth questions and answers, but here is what we’ve got. I’m not unhappy with my answers but it misses some of the big issues I see everyday in our city.
